The day calls out for Shortbread Cookies!

Definitely…

After a long trek in the woods, all I would crave was Hot Cocoa with some Shortbread Cookies, so I made them! It truly called out for this kind of reward after a cold, windy afternoon…

And this is how they turned out…

The key to my recipe is the sugar. I use Brown sugar instead of white. I also use Vanilla extract to enhance the flavor but you can opt to omit this.

Here’s my easy, sweet recipe for Shortbread Cookies:

First! Preheat Oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2 CUPS OF ALL PURPOSE FLOUR

1 CUP OF BUTTER

1/2 OF SUGAR (I USE BROWN SUGAR)

1/2 TEASPOON OF VANILLA EXTRA (OPTIONAL)

1/2 TEASPOON OF SALT (IF USING UNSALTED BUTTER)

Here you can view the steps in the following pictures:

So easy to make Shortbread Cookies! The cool thing about this is that you only really need those three main ingredients: flour, butter and sugar. Anything else is game!

Hope you enjoy making them!

I leave you now with the song we were listening to while making them…! I love Imagine Dragons!!!
